The build that started the madness! After having honed his skills on previous builds, Steve decided it was time to build something that would rock the car world. There is no doubt that his '28 Dodge Brothers four door sedan did just that. After 4500 hours of welding and fabrication, this beast was rolled out of the shop to make its debut to the crowds who had gathered to view this agricultural themed rat rod. With the help of its new Industrial Injection Power Plant 5.9 Cummins turbo diesel engine and the 850hp on diesel fuel and 1200hp on nitrous, this 3,800 pound rat is capable of a 10 to 11-second quarter mile time at speeds up to 125 mph. The D-rod has an NOS, a turbo 400 transmission, a FASS fuel system, a custom built 9 inch rear end, and the body has been chopped and channeled to fit the handmade frame, which was designed to carry the heavy load. Besides making smoke signals like no other, this rod features the most unique and unusual details. Take for example, the band saw and chainsaw blade trim, the doors made from gold mine brass mesh, the dashboard created from old farm equipment, and the rear bumper is fabricated from an excavator's engine pistons. John Deere Green accents and the use of salvaged farm equipment complete the agricultural theme. Love it or Hate it, this one of a kind rat rod is not easily forgotten.
